Vacation

Our vacation was centered around Joel's 10 year high school reunion! Here we are ready to go.

Elko high school class of 1999 reunion

Emery wouldn't cooperate with a smile but here is our little family

There's that smile! Emery really loved being in Nevada and Utah with his grandparents!

Here's Emery having a ride with Grandpa!

And with Grandma ready to go swimming

My little cowboy!

The classic red barn. It always feels like home when you see it.

Everybody was helping move cows when we were on our way back to Utah. I just thought it was a funny sight, all those cows on the road.

Emery and Grandpa

Emery and Grandma ready to ride TRAX

We took Emery to the Children's Museum and had a blast!

Playing kitchen is always fun! Especially in a mini house!

Emery tried out cashiering at the play grocery store

Emery did ride a real horse when we were on the ranch (twice I think) but I didn't get a picture of it. So this fake horse will have to do!

Our trip seemed to go by so fast, but it's always good to be home. We are so sorry to those we weren't able to see this visit! The days just flew by and next thing I knew they were gone :(
Hopefully next time I can see all my wonderful friends and family!!!

I win!

I won these sweet muffin cups from Her Cup Overfloweth!
This is such a fun way to have lunch! And Emery loved it!
Thanks again Michelle!

Activity Bags

*UPDATE* The bags went over well! Emery did pretty good with all our flights and driving. As well as a 2 year old can do that is :)

As much as I like going on vacation, I always dread the plane/car rides! I found a cool idea at Chasing Cheerios to make activity bags. These are what I made...

The first bag just has small toys like cars. And I'll add a few more things too.
The second bag has crayons, stamps, and mini post it tabs.

-A variety of stickers
-Flash cards

-Play food
-Glue stick, tape, scissors, and paper

-Lacing beads with shoelaces
-A variety of small books

-Pipe cleaners and a magnadoodle
-Playdoh and cookie cutters

-Miscellaneous items for sorting, a magnifying glass, small puzzel etc.
-Foam stickers

I'll let you know how they work out!

The 4th of July

We hope everyone had a fun and safe Independence Day!
We started our day with a craft.

Emery working hard :)

Here are our stars!

And we hung them up to feel patriotic all day!

Here is my All American Boy!

Julie and Joel :)

We went to Heritage Park for fireworks and to hear the Greenville Symphony Orchestra concert. We got some pizza, played on the grass...

and in the bouncy houses!

Mommy and Emery

Cannons! They sure were loud and very cool!

Yeah! The fireworks!

Those were loud too!

After the fireworks were over, I asked Emery to give me 2 thumbs up and this is what I got. I guess we still need to work on learning which finger is which :)
Happy 4th of July!

My Swap Package!!

I got my Red, White, & Blue swap package in the mail today!! Perfect timing to get me feeling patriotic for the 4th of July tomorrow!!

It was wrapped on the outside too :)

Everything was wrapped so cute and each item had a little card with it!

My partner was Brittany! We found out that we have quite a lot in common. It was fun getting to you know Brittany!
Here is all the stuff I got! I really am a lucky girl! I got the best partner. She made most of it and then added a whole bunch of other stuff too! I hit the jackpot!!
The first thing I got was 2 car Sentsy air fresheners. Mmm, I can't wait to try them out!

She made this cute sign for my house!

She made these Red, White, & Blue sassy flip flops!

I got some pampering things from Bed, Bath, & Beyond! Mmm! Body wash, puff, soap, and slippers.

She made this cute towel for my kitchen with a N for Neff!
And I got 3 packs of stickers; one each of red, white, and blue!

I got this cute red shirt!

She made these cute star boxes and in each one was some handmade earrings! Love them!! Aren't those boxes so cute?

She made these 2 shirts for Emery. He already wants to wear them!
Thanks so much Brittany! It was a fabulous swap!!
