Activity Bags

*UPDATE* The bags went over well! Emery did pretty good with all our flights and driving. As well as a 2 year old can do that is :)

As much as I like going on vacation, I always dread the plane/car rides! I found a cool idea at Chasing Cheerios to make activity bags. These are what I made...

The first bag just has small toys like cars. And I'll add a few more things too.
The second bag has crayons, stamps, and mini post it tabs.

-A variety of stickers
-Flash cards

-Play food
-Glue stick, tape, scissors, and paper

-Lacing beads with shoelaces
-A variety of small books

-Pipe cleaners and a magnadoodle
-Playdoh and cookie cutters

-Miscellaneous items for sorting, a magnifying glass, small puzzel etc.
-Foam stickers

I'll let you know how they work out!

Thanks for sharing the idea! We have a trip coming up--that looks like a great thing to put together:-)

I also bought a pack of triangular crayons (the larger size) by crayola. -that way when the kids set then down on those flimsy airplane trays, they don't go flying down the aisle, underneath the seats! Worked great. We also did activity bags, but not as cool as yours!

I got the bags at Walmart. I have also seen them at the dollar store though. Ziplocks work too!

What a great idea! I love it. I'll have to remember this for when Taelie gets a little bit older!
