BOOKreMARKS

Ever get to book group and think, "What page did such and such happen? Where was that quote I loved?" Or do you like to just take notes while reading? Maybe you love getting books from the library, but want to have some of your own thoughts documented when you return it? Dun Dun Dun...
This is my latest creation. It's a bookmark that you can take notes in. It is 3.5 by 7 inches (or I've also decided to make a smaller 3 by 6 size that will fit better in paperbacks) and has eight pages sewn together and a margin along the lefthand side of each page to reference chapters, page numbers etc. Now I can't take all the credit, I got the idea on the internet. BUT the ones they made were ugly! So, I busted out the scrapbooking supplies and this is how it turned out! Not perfect (it's handmade you know...flaw adds character!) but I'm excited to make some more! But alas I'll have to wait a few more days because in the process of making this one my paper cutter blade gave out. Now I'm in limbo wondering when in 3-7 days it will come. The all-powerful postal service always keeps me waiting!

ps-Anyone or their book club interested in this? I'm thinking of making them available for sale.

Great Idea! My husband uses scrap paper to do the same, and I resist because I think its ugly, but yours are so cute.
